This unit is about equipment and teaching aids. In this unit I learned about equipment and teaching aids such as whiteboard, interactive white board, overhead projector, visual aids, worksheets and work cards, cassette recorder, CD player, dictionaries, course books, resource books, computers etc. It also describes usages of a particular equipment. For example, visual aids help to illustrate meaning more effectively and quickly. It also explains their advantages and disadvantages, and gives some teaching ideas. For example, the advantage of the overhead projector is that it can model grammar and present vocabulary, and can be prepared in advance; the disadvantage is that it can be complicated to set up effectively.
