This unit was about phonology. It is important to teach students different phonology skills, as it can impact communication. Various skills that should be taught include correct intonation, production of sounds and where to place the stress in words. Teaching the International Phonemic Alphabet to students can be helpful so they can use a dictionary to then properly pronounce a word. In this unit I have learned a few strategies to address teaching phonology. A theme across many of the skills involve using visual strategies to teach the skill.
