From this unit, I've learned that taking charge in class is as important as knowing when a teacher should let students do their own thing. There are certain benefit a student can achieve by studying individually and certain aspects can be gained by working in pair or groups. By studying by themselves, a student can focus more on the work at hand and not have any influence. By working in groups, students will have more talk to speak amongst each other. It will allow them to learn from their peers and understand the material easier. Grouping is effective when a teacher wants his or her students exchange ideas and voice out their opinion to their classmate. I also learn that the layout of a classroom is equally important for both the teacher and the students because the teacher must have a good visual of the class and the students must have eye contact with their teacher. Good gestures in class is highly recommended because it will show how much interest a teacher has in the class. Teacher must let students know that he or she is taking the class seriously and that they must always be there to make sure the classroom is in check.
