I think its really important to understand the tenses in order to teach them correctly and once again as a teacher to understand the principles in order to carry them across correctly. In order for anyone to learn a new language they need to understand some of the tenses and I know how difficult that can be when its not your own language so it is important to make it as easy and simple to understand as possible
