I've always been good when it came to grammar but I was really bad at breaking down the parts of speech. Mostly I've relearned the differences that are vital to explaining grammatical structures such as conjunctions and prepositions, transitive and intransitive verbs.
In practical application, I can always get an almost perfect score in grammar whether it be writing or speaking but I would never be able to explain it properly since the last time I was able to discuss theories in grammar was in my elementary and high school years. This unit basically helped me with the theoretical approach to grammar. It actually enabled me to explain each functioning part of the sentence. My favorite would be the order of the adjectives which most people tend to have errors with the order and placement of different adjectives.
Even though I attained a score of 965 on my TOEIC (990 being the highest). It was still definitely hard for me to review on my own about the breakdown of the parts of speech.
