Unit 6 covered the past-tensed. Just like present-tense, past tense can be broken down into four types, past-simple, past-continuous, past perfect, and past-perfect continuous. Within these four types, there are the affirmative, negative, and question form. Past-simple is used when describing an action completed at a definite time in the past, with action-verbs ending in -ed, unless it is an irregular verb. Past continuous is used to interpret past actions without time expression and actions that started in the past, but are continuing. Past-perfect is used when describing actions that are completely finished. Past- perfect continuous is used when talking about longer actions or situations in the past.
