In my opinion planning the lesson is essential thing while teaching a foreign language, though some teachers debate about this topic: some say you don't need to plan it at all, others say it must be planned carefully and you have to follow the plan carefully. But this unit describes quite clearly that we do have to make a plan, though it should be flexible and we can modify just during the lesson. It helps us to keep in mind the leaners objective and teachers personal aims for the lesson as well as fit to the duration of the lesson. Another important thing mentioned in the unit - is necessity of planning a sequence of lessons.
