I have learned that the various present tenses have different usages. Each one starts with i/you/we/they or he/she/it. I understand that Present simple relates to habits, routines, facts & truths and uses do/does. I know that present continuous is related to actions in progress at the time of speaking or around the time of speaking and uses am/are/is; and present perfect involves indefinite past actions or unfinished actions using have/has. I know that present perfect continuous involves incomplete and ongoing activities with duration, or recently finished activities with present results and uses has been/have been. I also understand that each tense can be transformed into a positive +, negative -, and a question ?.
