It is genuine that excessive planning can make lessons rather inflexible and stop teacher from being flexible to the requirements of the students. The teacher is due to let the students choose what to do in class but untrained teacher will find it challenging to do it. Every lesson plan must be easy, flexible and open for adaption, don't script the lesson, maintain same structure, smooth flow and write the anticipated time for each activity.
