In this unit, we covered the importance of teaching vocabulary, grammar, and functions, and what goes into teaching each category. The unit gave suggestions and examples for sample lessons and exercises. The depth of the grammar lesson should vary between ages and fluency levels; more basic for lower level learners and more complex for intermediate. Vocabulary should both be introduced and practiced, as students may retain more words than they are comfortable using.
