Unit 4 covered the present tense. There are four types of present tense; the present simple, the present continuous, the present perfect, and the present perfect continuous. Within each of these four types of present tense, there are three forms; the affirmative, the negative, and the question form. There are certain situations that call for the usage of the different types of present tense. The language changes depending on the subject, being first, second, and third person. Present simple is good to use for habits, routines, and facts, while present continuous is describing an action in progress. Present perfect, is used when describing an action that is from past to present, while present perfect continuous is describing an action that has been progressively happening in the past to the present.
