Authentic can described as just about anything a native speaker would read or hear.Programs,newspapers,poems,magazines and songs are examples of authentic materials.Authentic materials are not designed for EFL students because they are not graded for level.Authentic materials are real and motivating.They can be geared to the interests of a particular group.Created materials are usually designed by the teacher to replace or supplement materials from a course book.They can be graded to the level of students, and they include flash cards,crosswords,picture stories and role-play cards.Course books consists of students books,workbook,cassettes and teachers book.Advantage of using a course book is that it is expected by students and disadvantage is that course books dictate what is to be taught.
