The chapter provides the reader with the necessary information to plan a lesson. A lesson plan has 3 main functions: to Create a plan of action with your objectives and procedures for the class, to be a working document that allows classroom flexibility, and lastly a record that serves as a reminder of the classes you have taught. To create an effective lesson plan it is important to include the following structures: teaching objectives, personal aims, language points (how the theme relates to the language ability you are trying to teach), teaching aids, procedure(activities used to promote the learning of the language), phases (ESA), approximate timing, interaction in each phase.
