Since I graduated college as a Business Management Major. It was actually hard for me to adjust my experience from 2-4 students during my English tutorial classes(this was when I was working part-time during my days at the university) with ages around 4-6 to translate it to my current class which mainly composes of teenagers at around 13-1 with an average of 24 students per class.
Especially with discipline, I find it harder to discipline larger classes than smaller ones. This is also said true with teaching teenagers vs teaching toddlers. I've learned quite a lot with this Unit in regards to the discipline and the participation of the class. I've always let them do their activities individually because the class is too large for paired-individuals. It's quite an adjustment because the levels of the students in our class greatly differ from 1 and or the other.
Classroom management is not my best suit, so this chapter was quite useful for me in a realistic scenario. Hopefully, I would be able to apply most of what I learned especially the seating arrangements(though I am not able to use the horseshoe and circular arrangement) and my approach to them as a teacher.
