Unit 7 covered some of the aspects of language that have to be taken into consideration when deciding what vocabulary to teach in a lesson, such as the frequency with which a student will use these words, and what kind of challenges they may face while learning them. It also pointed out what is important to get across when teaching grammatical structures, and provided useful ideas for Activate and Study stages. I liked the idea of having students invite each other to things with an edge of competitiveness to encourage learning. The unit also mentioned appropriate language usage such as formal and informal, and I sometimes forget that English does have some rules, perhaps mostly unspoken,concerning formality. I believe this is something students in countries like Korea, where their language is divided by formal/informal,will be able to connect with easily.
