This unit focused on teaching special groups of students. The first kind of group is the beginner group, which are composed of either absolute beginners, false beginners, adult beginners, young beginners, or the beginners who have little to no literacy skills. Different methods and techniques, such as knowing the needs of the students, giving clear and simple instructions, having appropriate classroom arrangement, using the board properly, using drills and repetition, etc. are pertinent to teaching effectively. Another kind of class is the individual class where teachers have on-to-one lessons. This is type of class can be used to maximize the lessons to cater to the student's needs by using the course books, using various activities, having free conversation, and the like. One other class is that of children. When teaching children, clear and simple way of speaking is needed, and the tone of voice of the teacher is important to capture the students' attention. Class activities should include lots of repetition drills, picture games, demonstrations, language games, etc. and giving positive responses to children when they answer. Classes for children is usually light, fun and lively. On the other hand, a Business English class is a more serious class as it caters to the business people and their need to use English on a professional level/purpose. A teacher teaching Business English must be aware of certain facts, like the general background of the business, the fact that they would be absent sporadically, and they may often be tired from working all day. Lessons must cater to the students' needs, particularly the main reason for studying English. Care and consideration of the materials and such of the class is very important. Finally, we have the monolingual and multilingual class. In teaching these kinds of classes, it is important that the teacher makes the objective clear, gives attention to all the students to give everyone the opportunity to speak English, making activities task-oriented, making sure that speaking activities are given when students are ready, and making sure that the activities fit the level and abilities of the students.
