Long Beach, Minnesota TESOL Online & Teaching English Jobs
From this unit, I learned that future tense follows seven different ways of approach: future simple, future continuous, future perfect, future perfect continuous, be-going future, present simple and present continuous. Most of the future tense approach provides a sense of "prediction" in all, except for future present continuous because even though present continuous is written as a future activity, its usage doesn't apply to prediction. "I'm meeting her for coffee tomorrow" is the example of present continuous. We can't say, "I think I will be having with her tomorrow," in this sense, it isn't present continuous anymore, but future continuous. I've learned that future tense can be a little more tricky to teach base on the idea that we can use present tense and past tense in a future tense sentence. The possible confusion that it can cause for english learners that don't quite know the rules in using sentence future tense. I think the most frustrating thing that I can think of is the wording of the sentence might not make sense to english learners because of how it sounds, but after a thorough explanation, then I'm sure they can understand more clearly and with the right activities to go with the practice.
