This unit introduces grammar in the context of parts of speech. In this unit we deduct that a sentence which is a combination of words are categorised under one of the eight parts of speech which are; verb, noun, adjective, pronouns, adverb, articles, gerund and preposition. To form a sentence, all this must be used in its correct form and place in order to make meaning. This unit analyses this parts individually and sets outs the rules pertaining to using them together either with respect to their relationship as to make meaningful sentences. Some words can sometimes be used as more than one part of speech depending on the context of use. The complexity of parts of is seen especially in the use of adjectives as not all adjectives follow the same rule in their comparison and as well verbs in their conjugations thus making this study continuous.
