Unit 9 deals with lesson planning. I learned that lesson planning is extremely important for new teachers as they lack experience. Despite the level of experience, lesson plans play an important role in teaching. First of all, lesson plans give a structure to the lesson. It allows the teacher to go over the goals of the lesson and prepare for it (materials, student size, anticipated problems, etc.). It is also important to monitor ones lessons to help improve our teaching skills.
