This unit discussed lesson planning. A lesson plan is a valuable tool that allows for teaching to be carried out in a logical manner that is both organized and flexible. Elements that should be included on the lesson plan include: learner objective, teacher aim, procedure, phase, timing of each activity and interaction. It is important to have a balance of phases as well as interaction. Another component on the lesson plan format required the teacher to predict challenges that the students would have during the lesson and challenges that the teacher may have during the lesson. In planning, the teacher would then give solutions to each of the problems. It is also important that the teacher monitors student progress during the lesson.
