Teachers should never walk into their classroom ill-prepared for the lesson of the day. A written lesson plan is important to conceptualize what the learning objectives are and how the teacher should move through ESA. I imagined that a lesson plan would have a list of topic points and activities. I initially did not think of writing anticipated problems as important to write down. However, this is a good way for new teachers to organize their thoughts and rely on a (flexible) schedule that will help students through their language level. I enjoyed this unit since it had examples for young learners as well as teenage learners. It helped me immensely in thinking about language levels and how students of different ages can process lessons.
