This unit provided a good overview of the role of a teacher, including what makes a good teacher. I also learned about learners, such as their motivation and why and how it may be difficult to learn due to their age and other specifications about their life. A difficult thing to learn in this Unit was learning the language levels as the changes between the levels are very subtle. The Common European Framework was also important. In short, I think it's important that I learned the specifics about what it takes to be a good teacher. Understanding the motivation and drive behind learners is also important but none of their drive will matter if I do not fully understand that I need to be a good, strong teacher in order for them to learn. Engaging with students, being kind and supportive, and also firm and motivated to teach are all very important.
