Unit 1 Reflection
I learnt that some of the qualities of a good teacher are kind and patient,loves teaching and should have good rapport with students. A teacher has several important roles in class such as model,observer,facilitator,organizor and prompter just to name a few.He/she needs to know when and how they should play each role during lessons
I also learnt some of the qualities of a good leaner. They would have a desire to learn,willingness to listen to the language and ask questions etc. Depending on their ability in the English Level,they are catergorized in 5-6 different levels that a teacher should use to asses which level the student is in.A teacher should also tap in into the learners motivation for learning the language.Lack of motivation,discipline differs in age between young and adult learners.
This unit highlights factors that a teacher should be aware and how to create a better rapport with students in class to engage their learneing.
