The content gave an overview of the four present tenses. It explained the form, usage, common errors and gave examples of using the tenses in the activate step of a lesson plan. In teaching English Language Learners, it is important to be clear in one's presentation and give the uses of the different tenses. The reason for this is that students learning English have not had the luxury of listening to as many examples of English as the Native Speaker. If the students know the use, it can help both in listening and reading comprehension and production of language (speech/writing).
