Lesson plans are very important in effective teaching. A lesson plan helps teachers present the material to the students in an orderly manner. It also helps teachers stay on target with the learning goals and objectives. This was a very interesting unit for me. I have always felt that all teachers should be reflective in nature when it comes to their teaching styles. The sample lesson plan used in this unit actually addresses this in it's structure. I really appreciate the self evaluation record. I agree that teachers should always monitor their effectiveness and strive to improve their skills.
