This unit combines most of the previous lessons in one and emphasizes how the teacher’s attitude and prepared structure lead the class. The first lesson showed the teacher being aggressive, and he does not use simple language. With the second lesson, it is much more clear that the teacher planned activities and understood how to transition between phases. He made an effort to be personable and build relationships with the students. I enjoyed this lesson since the lesson plan was acted out. It’s important to have a written plan with the E,S, and A parts prepared. However, the teacher seemed to enjoy their participation and encouraged them in many ways. Normally a lesson based on animals seems appropriate for children, yet these adult students learned so much already about essential vocabulary, verbs, classroom participation, and more with the teacher’s help. It is difficult to conceptualize a lesson, but I found these to help distinguish what proper structure is and how teachers must remain positive at all times.
