The unit has been about conditional speech, and reported and direct speech. The rules of the direct and indirect speech are simple: present becomes past, the speech is reported in the future about an event that had happened in the past, denoting a change in the pronouns, tenses, and time-indicating words, like: tomorrow, yesterday, etc.. As for the conditional speech, illustrating the conditions of If would take much time and effort and will lead to a difficulty in memorizing rules, I think it would be best if the students understand the meanings of the examples given and in turn given the chance to write their own examples.
