I appreciated this introductory unit because it opened my eyes to the varying aspects that makes for a good teacher as well as a leaner and how closely connected they actually are. Growing up, I observed mostly teachers who were "manager"s and provided little room for students to feel involved and motivated. Learning a new language is not easy but having a teacher who is more than a "manager" but one who is facilitator, monitor/observer, encourager, participant etc makes way for students who will be more motivated and empowered and hopefully more open to learning a new language.
