When we took a look at teaching special groups in this unit, we learned more about the types of classes we might encounter in the future. Beginners with little to no English ability, Individual or one on one students, Children or young learners are students aged sixteen or younger, Business English to business professionals usually with a special purpose. When looking at groups we can also see if it is a monolingual group where all the students share the same native language (L1) or a multilingual group where students come from many different countries and they have many different L1s. The type of group you have will have a large effect on your lessons. Not only the content but also the approach, materials, planning, classroom management techniques, suitable activities, motivation, methodology, and possible problems will differ depending on the type of group you are teaching.
