This unit #13 is good in the telephone use with students, it is a good exercise to have students practice all the components of good pronunciation, gdrammatical structures in an almost real situation. The unit is brief, but not to helpful in chosing books, and how to use them. The pros and cons were outlined in a general way - but not very thorough. It is true that teachers must develop materials to supplement material from the textbook. What is good about this unit is for the beginning teacher to not depend too much on the textbook; and for the experience teacher to be discriminating on wht is appropriate for the level of the students. I was perplexed by how the questions on the test were stated, "which would not be...." This type of questions throws me off.
