This unit comprised the future tenses. It specifically went into some detail on 7 different ways of forming future meaning. It gave us the four future tenses: the future simple; the future continuous; the future perfect; and the future perfect continuous. Then it added the 'be going to + infinitive" future; the present simple used as future and then the present continuous used as future. This chapter had an enormous amount of material in it and was probably the hardest chapter for me until now. I got bogged down in areas where the usages overlap. Then I referred to some outside sources and got even more confused. Different books took different approaches and sometimes contradicted one an another. I made a spread sheet for myself to help me differentiate between the types. There are situations where several of these options can be used . . . I think that seeing more examples would maybe help solidify the information. All in all though, the literature received through this course was the most clear for me (in contrast to some books I purchased that were completely muddled and sometimes a bit arbitrary).
