This unit dealt with the past tense. There are four different forms of the past tense. The first being the simple past tense used for action which occurred and were completed in the past, the past continuous tense for actions that were in progress at a specific time in the past, the past perfect tense showing an action which was completed before another action in the past, and lastly the past perfect continuous tense which is used when and action was in progress for an amount of time before another action in the past. The past perfect and past perfect continuous tenses are not used as often as the other past tenses and can usually be difficult to explain, but I found that this unit gave very clear straight forward explanations of all the tenses as well as some great ideas for the activate phase of the lesson.
