This unit covered different methods to teaching pronunciation and phonology. As noted in the text, pronunciation is the "most neglected aspect of English language teaching" while mainly concentrating of the individuals sounds words consist of. Phonology is "the study, analysis and classification of the physical properties of sounds." Intonation is also covered in this lesson; there are three different types of intonation i.e. rise/fall, fall/rise, and flat.
