At first I found unit 13: Teaching Pronunciation and Phonology very difficult to comprehend. It took me a few days of reading it to fully understand the lesson. Prior to this lesson I was unaware of the existence of the phonemic alphabet. Unit 13 introduced me to intonation patterns, sound joining and articulation. Although this lesson took a little more time for me to grasp I feel that the extra time was worth it. I now feel confident enough to teach pronunciation to my future students.
