I learned that all conditionals use the word if, and typically at the start of the sentence. Conditionals can be used to express realistic situations that are likely to happen, will probably not happen, or any hypothetical situation which a hypothetical outcome. We use conditionals when expressing possibilities either in the past, present, or future. They typically follow up by stating a possible or improbably outcome or consequence at the end of the sentence. We can report to another person what someone else has told us, usually written in italics. The question word, such as when, where, or why, remains the same but the verb or action in the sentence is changed to a positive to directly report to someone the action.
