This final unit called “Troubleshooting” showed how to plan a first lesson and how to deal with some problems that can occur in the classroom. I learned that a first lesson should be based on getting a good rapport between teacher and students and finding out their individual levels. Common problems that would need attention are students being shy, overusing their native language and large classes. It is the teacher's duty to work around these issues to find ways to cope and make the lessons enjoyable and educational for the entire group.
