Pleasantview, Michigan TESOL Online & Teaching English Jobs
This unit deals with the different forms of the present tense. the unit informs the reader that there are 12 of such tenses in all, but the unit actually focusses on the
present simple
present perfect
present continuous and
present perfect continuous.
Basically, the unit discusses the forms and usage of the tenses and it also touches examples of Typical students errors and Activate stage teaching ideas.
I feel that I have learned a lot from this unit.
Firstly, the unit gives a brief explanation as to what the various tenses mentioned here are, their definition and how they can be used. For instance, I have learned that the present simple tense deals with a statement in the present and base form, while the present perfect tense, relates the past to the present and the present perfect continuous, also relates the past to the present, but with the indication of continuity.
I also think that if a tabular arrangement is made to point out these tenses and their differences, it will be a powerful tool.
