By completing this unit I knew what is the difference between authentic and non-authentic materials, how to create correctly a lesson planning and how to manage classroom. Authentic materials (either written or spoken) are those which are designed for native speakers: they are real texts designed not for language students, but for the speakers of the language in question. There is an almost unlimited supply of real-world authentic materials which can be used by the creative EFL teachers to meet their classroom needs of materials, e.g. schedules, calendars, advertisements, menus, notes, receipts, coupons, tickets, and the list goes on. A non-authentic material, in language of teaching terms, is one that has been written especially for language students. The term classroom management refers to the procedures, strategies, and instructional techniques teachers use to manage student behavior and learning activities. Effective classroom management creates an environment that is conducive to teaching and learning.
