In this unit, I learned about the four primary present tenses in English: present simple, present continuous, present perfect, and present perfect continuous. The form of each tense in its affirmative, negative, and question forms were diagrammed and the various usages were enumerated. Irregular verbs were listed. Examples of typical student errors were listed and the false assumptions underlying those errors were discussed.
This unit I found essential for solidifying my knowledge English grammar. I believe it is particularly important to be able to state clearly why a certain tense is being used instead of another tense.
