Palo, Michigan TESOL Online & Teaching English Jobs
In this unit, I learned about the four present tenses and feel more intimidated now than I ever have with the English language. My confusion, or hesitance to accept what the chapter is showing me, stems from the daunting twelve tenses, and the way the "present perfect" and "present perfect continuous" seem to represent the past with words like, "I have" and "I have been". At this point I feel the English language has over complicated itself, and I'm curious how present-perfect/-continuous will stand apart from the past tenses. I'm hoping that further lesson into what actually qualifies as a past tense will help clarify what makes the present tenses present tense, and if not, I'll have a second read through the chapter.
