Engage, Study, and Active, also know as ESA is a wonderful sequence for this type of classroom environment. Engaging the classroom should stimulate their interest in the lesson at hand. This is sort of like an 'ice-breaker', which serves for comfort and positive energy. The Study part would follow, this would include a worksheet and/or a type of study material of the overall lesson. Finally, the activate part of the lesson would have the class put to use what they've learned. I would apply some corrections and take into account who is helping there peers and the difference between 'mistake vs error'.
