This unit focuses the attention on the pronunciation and phonology of the English language. It examines the importance of intonation and word stress, areas of great importance for carrying a particular message in a sentence, communicating in this way feelings and different emotions. Moreover, the unit describes the different ways in which a native speaker joins sounds in his daily interactions as well as covering topics such as the International Phonemic Alphabet (IPA) and how we use the mouth to produce different sounds, giving useful advices in order to teach phonetics effectively.
