The information in this unit covered the basics on modal auxiliary verbs, passive voice, relative clauses and phrasal verbs. From studying this it became even clearer to me that the meaning can really change depending on how you build a sentence. What we focus on can change if we use a passive voice instead of an active voice. My opinion is that it is good to teach students to use a passive voice now and then in a paragraph, not only when focus needs to change, but also to add variation since it can make a text more interesting and pleasant to read.
