This unit focuses on the use of future tense and explores its four main aspects.
These aspects include: future simple, (an action in the future), future continuous (an action in progress in the future), future perfect (an action in the future that will be completed by a specific time in the future), and future perfect continuous (how long an action has been happening for until a specific point in the future).
This unit explains the importance of future tense, exploring form and proper use in order to give an understanding of when it should be applied. Further to this, the unit explores activate stage teaching ideas that can be applied to the lesson plan when teaching ESL, such as matching words to pictures, weather forecast or getting the students to plan a holiday.
My main takeaway from this unit is the knowledge and comprehension of the use of future tense in teaching ESL and how to implement this knowledge in my class.
