Unit 1 consists of two main parts where characteristics of teachers and learners are described. Firstly, I learned a lot about teachers: what it takes to become a great, inspiring and motivating teacher; roles of the teacher, as well as knowing which role to take and when. Secondly, I learned a great deal about learners: what makes a good one; the differences between young learners and adults; distinctions between different English levels; reasons why students have decided to learn English and their motivation. The crucial thing that I absorbed from this unit is knowing how important the relationship between teachers and learners is. Basically, in conclusion, we can say that a good teacher is much more likely to have good students.
