I learnt that classroom management refers to a wide variety of skills and techniques that teachers use to keep their classroom and students organised in a relaxed manner and maintaining discipline. There are many ways of doing this, for my classroom the horseshoe seating arrangement works best as I have a small class of Japanese students, they like a relaxed feeling and can work in without hesitation in pairs. This allows me to get more intimate with all the students and gives me more opportunity for eye contact. I usually sit in front of them as they call can all see me clearly. There are certain activities which are done with four in a group and the seating arrangement is four tables together and the students are facing each other. This works well for me as well. My classroom is well disciplined most of the time as the the Japanese culture is dominant in well behavior. The only time it becomes challenging when I have special children in class.
