In this comprehensive unit on pronunciation, a great deal of information was covered and I expect that many students come away from the unit feeling a little overwhelmed. Among the topics covered were intonation, stress, and the mechanics of pronunciation. This last was explored in depth with the phonetic alphabet and the parts of the mouth being described and each sound in the English language being analyzed. This is a very useful course for teaching one on one, when the student is often trying to improve their pronunciation.
