In this lesson, I learned of the various methodologies of teaching, ESA, and when to correct students on their grammar. Methodologies are various ways to get language rules to stick in the heads of the students. One example would be audio - lingualism, where the students would be tasked to perform long reputations to get used to the language. ESA stands for engage, study, and activate. In the engage stage, we warm up the students to the language by showing pictures or having the students play games. The study phase is the practice phase, where the teacher hands out worksheets and corrects the students. Activate is a stage where the students freely speak with each other in a given language. Much of the correction should be done in study phase, with minimal on the activate and engage stage.
