Unit 2 focused on a basic overview of English grammar via a discussion of the main parts of speech including nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, prepositions and articles. Each section of the unit began with a basic introduction to the usage and main types of a given part of speech. Following these introductions, more complex applications of the part of speech - such as gerunds for verbs - were then discussed. To wrap up, identification of these parts of speech was then practiced via producing examples of parts of speech in Task 1 and deconstructing the grammar of a sentence in Task 2.
