This unit teaches that though pronunciation is a neglected area in teaching the English Language, it is still, in fact, very important and necessary. Pronunciation impacts the way a person communicates and must therefore be employed as a teaching tool. This then ties to phonology; the physical aspects of sounds, that is, sounding of words through stress, rhythm, and intonation. After taking all these properties into consideration, one learns the importance of teaching pronunciation.
